WINEMAKERS DINNER - LA TUNELLA ESTATE FROM FRIULI-VENEZIA GUILIA

7PM WEDNESDAY, 8TH MAY 2019

Join us at Wentbridge House for the first Winemaker Dinner of 2019 with an intimate evening hosted by Giovanna Borreri of the amazing boutique La Tunella Estate, in Friuli-Venezia Guilia, Italy. The dynamic La Tunella winery in the D.O.C. area of Colli Orientali del Friuli, was reborn and renamed in 1991: vineyards were replanted with international grape varieties and a brand new winery was introduced.

You'll start the evening with a chilled glass of sparkling Il Mille Spumante La Tunella served En Magnum with canapes, before dinner with a starter of crab, accompanied by La Tunella Sauvignon Blanc 2017 and their flagship white wine Biancosesto La Tunella 2015. A small middle course of Porcini mushroom and truffle risotto with Pinot Nero 2016 La Tunella followed by a delicious main course of canon of Spring lamb accompanied by Cabernet Franc La Tunella 2016. Finish the evening with cheese or dessert served with Noans La Tunella 2015 dessert wine.

£65 per person including canapés and four-course dinner with wine pairings.

Please note that payment will be requested at the time of booking.

Arrive at 7.15pm to dine at 8pm.

There will be limited spaces available for what we're sure will prove to be a very popular evening. Please call us on 01977 620444 to secure your table.

Discover More about La Tunella

Fifty years ago Grandfather Min and then his son Livio Zorzettig gave life to a story that continues today with La Tunella of Massimo and Marco Zorzettig (who cherish the family traditions together with their mother Gabriella).

They and their highly-valued collaborators, among whom they count their friend Luigino Zamparo, an oenologist of remarkable ability, fuse a sense of the present with the memory of the past, animated with the desire to experiment the new and to maintain the noblest traditions of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The wines of La Tunella embody the fresh liveliness of new and creative energies… but history, memory and tradition remain the solid and enduring corner-stones of the present, constructing the future day after day.
