Wentbridge House offers a warm and welcoming setting for the simple pleasure of afternoon tea in West Yorkshire. With open fires, comfortable rooms and a gentler pace to the season, our Yorkshire Winter Afternoon Tea is a lovely way to spend an unhurried afternoon in January and February.
Afternoon Tea at Wentbridge House is a firm favourite, whether you are meeting friends, spending time with family, or marking a quiet occasion. Served throughout the winter months, our menus reflect the season and sit alongside our Proper Yorkshire savoury afternoon tea and Children’s Afternoon Teas, which are available all year round.
Yorkshire Winter Afternoon Tea – £29.95 per person
There is a selection of both sweet and savoury items, carefully prepared daily by our kitchen team. As well as the fluffy, freshly baked homemade scones, you’ll enjoy a selection afternoon tea sandwiches, irresistible cakes and sweet treats, Annabel’s strawberry jam and lemon curd and rich clotted cream. A selection of seasonal cakes and sweet treats completes this classic British tradition.
Afternoon tea is served with your choice of tea or coffee. We offer a carefully selected range of loose leaf teas from Taylors of Harrogate, allowing guests to enjoy a familiar favourite or discover something new.
January Afternoon Tea with Prosecco
For those visiting during January, we also offer a January Afternoon Tea with Prosecco, priced at £49 for two, which includes a glass of Prosecco each. This is available for a limited time and can be booked separately.
Proper Yorkshire Afternoon Tea – £32.95 per person
Our Proper Yorkshire Afternoon Tea offers a savoury alternative to the traditional afternoon tea. Guests can enjoy a generous selection of cold cuts, sausage roll, cheeses with accompaniments, house pickles and chutneys, served with truffled parmesan fries and your choice of loose leaf tea or coffee.
Children’s Afternoon Tea – £14.95 per child (aged 12 years and under)
With families in mind, we offer a children’s afternoon tea served with an activity pack to keep little hands busy. Children may enjoy their afternoon tea with a seasonal mocktail, hot chocolate with marshmallows, or a babyccino.
Something Extra
Afternoon tea may also be enjoyed with a glass of chilled Prosecco, a hand-crafted cocktail, or a glass of Billecart-Salmon Champagne for those wishing to add an extra touch of indulgence.
